An abstract is a short summary of your (published or unpublished) research paper, usually about a paragraph (c. 6-7 sentences, 150-250 words) long. A well-written abstract serves multiple purposes: an abstract lets readers get the gist or essence of your paper or article quickly, in order to decide whether to read the full paper.
The discussion section is often considered the most important part of your research paper because this is where you: Most effectively demonstrates your ability as a researcher to think critically about an issue, to develop creative solutions to problems based upon a logical synthesis of the findings, and to formulate a deeper, more profound understanding of the research problem under.
The research paper is not just a set of opinions and personal thought on topics the researcher wishes to examine and dissect. It is a study done in a manner that requires thorough research using legitimate references such as books study materials, and past work from experts to come up with a reliable and accurate dissertation of the selected topic.
The purpose of research proposal is to give a basic idea to your instructor about your research paper. But a proposal is not merely a mini research paper. It should have a specific and narrow topic.
